Licensure Updates
Owing to the volume of dossiers and OPAL submissions that Region IX received prior to, during, and following the deadline of March 29th, we will be extending the resubmission deadline to Friday, May 31, 2024, before/by 11:59 p.m. to provide licensees who have failed their strands more time. **Districts/Charters may have their own deadlines, so please follow-up with them. Thank you.
The Professional Development Dossier (PDD) submission period begins July 15, 2023, at 12:01 a.m. and will remain open until 11:59 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2024. The OPAL submission deadline is also 11:59 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2024. **Please note that the Dossier will no longer be offered after this deadline, so it’s important to have the initial submission in by the deadline.
Submissions received by October 27, 2023 that successfully pass will receive an effective date of July 1, 2023, on their license(s).
The resubmission window will open at 12:01 a.m. on April 1, 2024, and remain open until 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
***SUBMISSIONS ONLY MEET THE SUBMISSION WINDOW DEADLINE IF THEY HAVE RECEIVED ADMINISTRATIVE APPROVAL BY THE ABOVE DATES.*** Waiting until the final deadline is highly discouraged and will result in longer wait times for results.
The licensure extension application will be available in our licensure portal from April 1, 2024, until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2024. You must work with your LEA for their support, as this application will require their narrative section to be completed. The fee is non-refundable. Please visit our Licensure Extensions page for more information.
